strategies and solutions through consulting, research, and cross-sector
collaboration. Visit www.bsr.org for more information about BSR’s more than
20 years of leadership in sustainability.

We are proud to have a team of some of the industry’s most talented and
motivated people working on sustainability in our global offices in
Copenhagen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Shanghai,
and Tokyo.

BSR partners with leading international organizations and companies to
advance our major priorities, which include creating a climate-compatible
world, building an inclusive economy, and increasing corporate leadership on
sustainability. We catalyze business action through translation, solutions,
and collaborations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Over the past several years BSR has built a strong foundation to support
business action on climate change. The Associate Director, Climate Change
will play a leading role in BSR’s climate area of expertise, which
catalyzes climate action by helping companies reduce their greenhouse gas
emissions, build resilience to inevitable climate impacts, and engage with
inbound climate regulation. This includes advisory services work with
companies and other stakeholders, company collaborations and convening, and
thought leadership and research.

The Associate Director, Climate Change will work closely with BSR colleagues
from multiple industries and areas of expertise to develop business
opportunities, deliver consulting and grant-funded projects that provide high
value to BSR members and other leading companies interested in taking climate
action, and generate thought leadership which undergirds these activities.

This position is full-time, based in New York, San Francisco or Paris.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development: The Associate Director will have significant
responsibility for developing opportunities to work with BSR’s 250 member
companies on climate action. This will require the successful candidate to
effectively partner and co-create with BSR’s industry directors. He or she
will also have additional responsibility for business development with
private foundations, public sector funders, and other partners.

Project Implementation: The Associate Director will play a key role in
BSR’s delivery of consulting services, collaborative initiatives, and
applied research on climate change. The successful candidate will oversee
several projects at any one time, working actively with project teams and
providing thought partnership to project managers.

Thought Leadership and External Representation: The Associate Director will
represent both BSR and our climate change practice to external audiences by
presenting at industry conferences, writing publications, forming beneficial
external partnerships, and creating other opportunities to raise the profile
of BSR more broadly.

Internal Management: The Associate Director will contribute to the management
of BSR’s global climate team, working closely with team leadership.
