POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Internal Communications Specialist is a new and exciting role being created within Sustainalytics. The position sits within the Marketing and Communications team and has global scope and responsibility.

The Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing communications across the enterprise.  The primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

•             Developing an internal communications strategy that effectively, consistently and positively impacts employees across the firm

•             Working with the executive team and senior managers to understand and communicate corporate strategies, corporate initiatives and other messages critical to our firm and its employees

•             Identifying initiatives to more closely connect our 300+ employees with the company’s direction and with one another

•             Working with Human Resources to engage employees and to develop programs that address their communication needs

•             Managing internal branding and helping employees understand how to support and enhance the Sustainalytics brand

•             Developing internal messaging, employee communications plans and creatively implementing internal communication programs

•             Managing our Sharepoint, Yammer and other internal communication platforms

•             Writing and managing the production of Sustainalytics annual sustainability report

•             Ad hoc assignments

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•             A bachelor’s degree (or higher), preferably in English, Journalism, Sustainability, Marketing, Communications or a related field

•             5+ years’ work experience

•             Must be a confident communicator and presenter with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

•             Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to articulate complex concepts

•             Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills

•             Superior project management and time management skills

•             Posses a wide degree of creativity and autonomy

•             Strong knowledge and understanding of sustainability issues and practices

•             Passion for sustainability

•             Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to cross-functional collaboration

•             Advanced in English language skills
