How to Apply:
To drive the development and execution of Vodafone Sustainable Business strategy across the Group and provide expert advice at senior levels on thedevelopment of ethical, human rights and sustainable business policy and practice. To engage with a wide range of stakeholders in order to enhance external understanding of Vodafone's ethical principles and social transformation objectives. To lead the “women’s empowerment” and “youth jobs and skills” transformational goals of the strategy, working closely with other Vodafone functions and local operating companies to define and implement the strategic plans to deliver these goals.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
•Work closely with the Head of Sustainable Business to drive the development and execution of Vodafone’s sustainable business strategy by developing ethical policies and programmes across a range of sustainable business issues (including human rights and ethical supply chain)
•Provide expert advice at the most senior levels on the development and creation of ethical, human rights and sustainable business policy and practice.
•Lead the development and delivery of the strategy necessary tomeet Vodafone’s “womens’ empowerment” and “youth skills and jobs”
global transformation goals.
•Work closely with relevant stakeholders in Group functions and with local markets to develop and implement activation programmes , identify measurable targets and create compelling narratives to deliver the strategy
•Act as anambassador for Vodafone externally, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to enhance understanding of Vodafone's ethical principles and social transformation objectives.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Proven change leader with a track record of building coalitions and consensus and engaging effectively at the highest levels
•Extensive experience in a business or consultancy creating and executing corporate policy and practice to address complex sustainable business issues (including human rights, ethical supply chain and environmental issues
•Strong influencer at the most senior levels within business, civil society groups and policy bodies with a proven track record of managing multiple internal and external stakeholders todeliver change
•An excellent verbal communicator with enough gravitas to engage and persuade effectively with a wide range of senior internal and external stakeholders •Excellent project management and written communications skills.
Degree level or equivalent with extensive and relevant expertise and experience of sustainable business issues (including human rights, ethical supply chain and environmental issues)
