Innovative water and wastewater solutions are proving a major contributing factor towards the reduction of the world’s water gap

Headline reports from the 2030 Water Resources Group show there will be a 60% gap between projected water demand from a bigger, richer global population, and "accessible, reliable" supplies.

Arvia Technology’s state-of-the-art water treatment solution is going a long way to plug the gap.

Born out of the University of Manchester and executed on a global scale, Arvia’s Nyex treatment system allows for the removal of low and trace hard-to-treat chemicals from our waterways.

Arvia’s solution supports large manufacturers with safe water reuse and discharge strategies, which is a giant leap towards solving the global water shortage crisis.

Mike Lodge, CEO at Arvia commented: “If we continue to allow clean water supplies to deplete at the current rate, the world is expected to reach the point where demand for unpolluted water outstrips the available supply by 60% in 2030 - only 11 years’ time.

“Being able to free our water supplies from the countless varieties of new and dangerous contaminants discharged by constantly evolving industrial and scientific progress is critical in ensuring there is sufficient usable water to sustain life on earth.

“Our unique solution is playing a major part towards helping to reduce the water gap but there is still a long way to go.

“By allowing for effective treatment of low and trace-level contaminants and providing more sustainable treatment processes for compliant discharge or safe reuse, we are helping large manufactures across a wide range of sectors save time and money throughout their wastewater processes.

“Through our extensive research and development, advances in technology mean it is now possible to tackle part per billion ranges of pharmaceutical residues, endocrine disruptors, personal care products, manufacturing chemicals and pesticides.”

Arvia Technology works with utility companies in the UK and Europe. It has treated challenging wastewater from the agricultural, chemical, electronics, oil and gas and pharmaceutical industries in Europe and Asia.
