The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and Ethical Corporation today announced a partnership for 2017

Geneva, 10 January 2017

“Partnerships such as the one we are announcing today with Ethical Corporation are key to the success of WBCSD’s work. Offering our members easy access to platforms where they can connect and learn accelerates our joint efforts toward transformation,” said Daria Lopez-Alegria, WBCSD Director of Strategic Partnerships.

“Ethical Corporation’s extensive experience in event organization and management gives our members privileged access to international forums and ensure that those audiences hear the voice of forward-thinking business. For our shared goals to be achieved, sustainability must become mainstream - and Ethical Corporation will be a great outreach partner in this effort,” she said.

“We are excited to enter this new partnership with WBCSD as we believe our combined efforts can help accelerate the progress and understanding of sustainable business,” explained Liam Dowd, managing director at Ethical Corporation.

“Increasingly we’re seeing businesses, NGOs, governments and associations create coalitions to deliver meaningful impacts on society and the environment. It’s only right we look to build new partnerships to help support businesses on this quest. Our partnership will look to leverage Ethical Corporation’s events portfolio and magazine publication with WBCSD’s experts and global connections to create events and analysis that showcases innovative new projects that WBCSD and its members are delivering,” he said.

The partnership provides both parties with mutual access to audiences and knowledge-sharing, with all members in WBCSD also benefiting from discounted attendance at Ethical Corporation events.

The partnership will develop further when WBSCD will share insights and results from some of its pioneering pilot initiatives at The Responsible Business Summit New York in March and then The Responsible Business Summit Europe in June.
